In 1979, Deborah started her first company, Information Plus, and built it up into two separate corporations, with fully staffed offices in the US and Canada. These firms provided a range of research and related services to a North American and international clientele.

Deborah was a frequent speaker at conferences in the US, Canada and Australia. She also appeared on radio and TV, including CNNfn and The Jim Bohannon Show.

She also published many articles in professional and trade journals plus wrote several books, sharing her knowledge.
